Phi Phi Island Tours from Phuket: 5 Day Trips Compared

Longtail boat moored in shallow water off Ko Phi Phi Don, limestone cliffs behind

The best Phi Phi Island tour from Phuket for most people is V. Marine Tour's all-inclusive speedboat day: hotel pickup, the national park fee, a resort buffet lunch and snorkel gear are all in the price. All five GetYourGuide tours we checked in October 2026 visit Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon, so what each price leaves out decides the pick. Maya Bay is closed 1 August – 30 September every year, and swimming there isn't allowed even when it's open.

Our pick

Phi Phi and Bamboo Island all-inclusive speedboat day

A nine-hour day with hotel pickup, the park fee, a resort buffet lunch on Phi Phi Don and snorkel gear included – only tips, alcohol and a towel are left to you.

  • Duration: 9 h
  • Speedboat
  • Hotel pickup: Included
  • Park fee: Included

Which Phi Phi Island tour should you book?

All five tours follow the same pattern: a pier in Phuket, a fast crossing by speedboat or speed catamaran, and a full day that takes in Maya Bay on foot from Loh Samah Bay, Pileh Lagoon, snorkelling and a lunch stop. The four listings that state a length run 8 to 9 hours.

Where they differ is the bill. Four of the five include the national park fee; One Asia Corporation's tour includes it only in the booking options that list it. Three include hotel pickup outright, while Sea Angel Cruises and One Asia offer it only in some options. Four include a buffet lunch and snorkel gear – the speed catamaran includes neither.

Maya Bay itself is closed to visitors 1 August – 30 September every year, according to Thailand's Public Relations Department, so check your dates before you book any of them.

Best all-inclusive day: V. Marine's Phi Phi and Bamboo Island speedboat

V. Marine Tour's Phi Phi and Bamboo Island day is the one to book if you want a single price that covers the whole day. Hotel pickup, the park fee, snorkel gear, insurance, soft drinks and fruit are included, and the speedboat has a toilet on board.

Lunch is a halal buffet of about 80 minutes at Phi Phi Holiday Resort, a beachfront resort on Phi Phi Don. The day also takes in about an hour on Bamboo Island, Monkey Beach, Viking Cave, a swim in Pileh Lagoon and about 40 minutes on foot at Maya Bay. The van ride to Royal Phuket Marina takes about 40 minutes, and you're back at the marina around 17:00.

Skip it if you'd rather be on the water at sunrise – V. Marine's sunrise version below starts the day at Khai Nai.

Best for beating the crowds: the Phi Phi sunrise trip via Khai Nai

V. Marine's sunrise trip trades a very early pickup for a quieter start: about an hour at Khai Nai at sunrise with a light breakfast, then Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, Monkey Beach, a resort buffet lunch and Bamboo Island. Getting ahead of the crowds is the listing's own pitch, and the operator is upfront that the sunrise itself isn't guaranteed – the weather decides.

Breakfast, lunch, hotel pickup and the park fee are all included; alcohol is the only exclusion on its listing. Your pickup time arrives by email by 17:00 the day before.

Skip it with children under 3, who aren't accepted on this tour, or if a very early start would spoil the day for you.

Best for the Khai Islands, park fee included: Sea Angel's Phi Phi, Maya Bay and Khai trip

Sea Angel Cruises includes the national park fee in every booking and adds about an hour on the Khai Islands to the usual Phi Phi loop. Its itinerary is generous with time in the water: about an hour snorkelling off Phi Phi Le, about an hour in Pileh Lagoon and roughly 1.5 hours for lunch and free time on Phi Phi Don, plus Viking Cave and Monkey Beach.

The listing is explicit that you can't swim at Maya Bay: the stop is about 30 minutes on foot from Loh Samah Bay. Guides speak English, Thai and Chinese.

The catch is the transfer: hotel pickup is only in the pickup option, shared, and only from Kata, Karon, Patong, Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao and Phuket Town. Staying elsewhere, such as Rawai or Nai Harn? Book the meet-at-pier option and get to Sea Angel's own pier on Koh Siray 30 minutes before departure. Skip it if Bamboo Island is a must – this itinerary goes to the Khai Islands instead.

One Asia Corporation's Phi Phi and Bamboo Island speedboat day is the most-reviewed Phi Phi tour from Phuket on GetYourGuide, with tens of thousands of reviews – and the one where the booking option matters most. The national park fee and hotel pickup are included only in the options that list them, so an option without them leaves both to you.

Each boat carries 35–70 passengers, according to the listing, and some reviewers find the enclosed boats cramped. In return you get the longest Bamboo Island stop of the five, about 1.5 hours, plus about 50 minutes at Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, Viking Cave, Nui Bay, a snorkel off Phi Phi Le and a buffet lunch on Phi Phi Don.

The day ends back at the pier around 17:30–18:00, and the listing advises against booking a flight the same day. The tour isn't for children under 3, travellers over 60 or pregnant guests. Book it for the classic loop if a full boat doesn't bother you.

Most to do on the water: Seanery's speed catamaran with kayak and paddleboard

Seanery's speed catamaran is the only one of the five with a clear kayak, a stand-up paddleboard and a towel included, along with hotel pickup and the park fee, and it times the ride back to Phuket for sunset. The day covers Bamboo Island, Phi Phi Don, Pileh Lagoon by longtail boat, Viking Cave, about 45 minutes at Maya Bay and a short stop at Maiton island.

Lunch and snorkel gear are not on its included list. The itinerary has a lunch stop with a market on Phi Phi Don and snorkelling at Bamboo Island and Viking Cave, so bring cash for food and your own mask, or ask Seanery before you book.

Book it if you get seasick or want to spend the crossing out on deck; skip it if you want every cost paid up front. The van ride is about an hour, pickup from Khao Lak or Bang Sak costs extra per van, and there are no transfers from Krabi.

Which boat is best for a Phi Phi Island tour?

For a day trip from Phuket, a speedboat is the best all-round choice: it's the fastest way to fit Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, Bamboo Island and lunch into one 8–9-hour day, which is why four of our five picks use one. The trade-off is a bumpier ride in open water, and three of the four speedboat tours include seasickness pills.

A speed catamaran is the comfortable choice: twin hulls roll less than a single-hull speedboat and leave room to sit outside, and Seanery's 8.5-hour day is barely longer than the speedboat days. Expect to pay more for it.

A big boat is the budget, slow-and-steady choice: more passengers, a longer crossing and usually fewer stops. None of the five tours we verified uses one. If you book a big-boat tour, check which bays it actually enters and whether Maya Bay is a walk-in visit or only a view from the deck.

How much does a Phi Phi tour cost, and what does the price leave out?

Adult prices on GetYourGuide for these five Phi Phi tours ran from ~THB 1,400 to ~THB 4,200 when we checked in October 2026, with the speed catamaran at the top of the range. Prices vary by season and booking option, so check the live price for your date.

The national park fee is set by Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, not by the tour operator. Check these five things in the option you book:

  • Park fee: included on four of the five tours; on One Asia's only in the booking options that list it.
  • Hotel pickup: included on V. Marine's two tours and Seanery's catamaran; only in some options on Sea Angel's (listed areas only) and One Asia's.
  • Lunch and snorkel gear: included on every tour except the catamaran.
  • Towel: only the catamaran includes one – pack your own for the other four.
  • Tips and alcohol: excluded on every listing that mentions them, so carry some cash.

Which Phi Phi tour is right for you?

Book V. Marine's all-inclusive day for one price that covers everything, its sunrise trip for an early start, Sea Angel for the Khai Islands with the park fee included, One Asia only after checking your option, and Seanery's catamaran for kayaks, paddleboards and a sunset ride back.

Before you pay, match the option name to what you need, and keep the evening free: the tours that state a return time get back around 17:00–18:00, so don't book a flight the same day. If Maya Bay is the reason you're going, avoid the annual closure (1 August – 30 September). For other ways to fill your days, see every Phuket tour we've compared.
